Meningitis Outbreak Information
The FDA, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and several state health departments have been investigating a fungal meningitis outbreak caused by a contaminated compound steroid solution, produced and distributed by New England Compounding Center (NECC). Please be reassured that our facility has not used the NECC drug known to cause meningitis on any patient.
Out of an abundance of caution, our facility has sent notifications by mail to each patient who received a medication which was purchased from NECC during the timeframe in question. If you have any concerns about whether you received a drug purchased from NECC, please contact our facility administrator, Roger Rhodes by emailing him HERE or calling him at 817-334-5061, and he will return your message within 24 hours.
Please also feel free to access the most current information from the CDC at http://www.cdc.gov/HAI/outbreaks/meningitis.html.
